time
she sits in the corner
wiping away the tears
remembering what she's gone through
in all her lonely years
she never had a friend
she never had a love
she needed just one sign
from the person up above
she never thought it would be this way
as she reaches for her gun
knowing she wouldn't live
to see the next sun
she put it to her head
with nothing left to do
she quickly pulled the trigger
I guess she never knew
the person at the door
fell quickly to the ground
he slowly pushed the door open
surprised at what he found
she lay on the ground
a gun by her side
he didn't know how to react
his wife had just died
he saw a piece of paper
taped neatly to her chest
it read, "I know you didn't love me,
but at least you tried your best"
he didn't know what to feel
he realized what he had lost
I guess he should have loved her
it was her life it had cost
